Dr. Steve Mirkos is a graduate of Xavier University and The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed a three year surgical residency in Warren, Michigan at the Kern residency program at Southeast Michigan Surgical Hospital, one of the most respected and well known podiatric residency programs in the country. Dr. Mirkos received extensive training in all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery including foot/ankle reconstruction and diabetic limb salvage. In addition, he has participated in research projects involving the latest advances in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease and metabolic bone disease. Dr. Mirkos has lectured on numerous topics at hospitals and medical conferences. His unique training and dedication to patient care make him well qualified to treat a wide variety of foot and ankle disorders.
